Conference Recommendations

1) To conduct more studies in Jordan and other Arab countries especially in distribution systems to determine the power quality levels and limits.

2) To adopt unified standard for power quality for all Arab countries so as to be applied in these countries.

3) To concentrate efforts to create legislations in Arab countries to control the standards of power quality and set a penalty system for those consumers who do not comply with these standards.

4) Distribute all effective studies done in some Arab countries to all other countries to benefit from this experience.

5) To increase the number of studies concerning the reliability of power system to reduce the interruption caused by power quality problems.

6) To concentrate the efforts to develop new techniques and approaches to calculate the cost of poor power quality and find a mechanism for this calculation in a scientific way.

7) To make more regular conferences, workshops and other types of events covering the power quality topic.

8) Training engineers and technicians in all electric utilities to measure and Aralyze power quality indices in all Arab countries.

9) Study the effect of renewable energy penetration and integration with electrical networks on the power quality.

10) Increase the cooperation between the Academia, industry and electrical sector to conduct more research and studies in power quality field and suggest suitable solutions for PQ problems.

11) To direct the power quality research and studies towards the practical cases and solutions.
